Janet’s journey as a movement instructor began as a teenager coaching gymnastics and teaching dance. Janet’s curiosity about human anatomy and physiology led to her pursuing university courses in kinesiology and applied human nutrition. Soon after completing a bachelor’s degree and having her children, she became a high school teacher. It was in 2015, while working with students who struggled to focus and concentrate that Janet began to explore the benefits of Brain Gym® movements. These movements are simple to learn, and can be easily practiced by most people. Encouraged by the benefits Brain Gym® had on her students’ learning outcomes, Janet became a Brain Gym® Movement Facilitator and added this training to her own movement practice. Janet is passionate about the benefits of movement for relaxation, balance, coordination and learning, and she teaches Brain Gym ® to groups and individuals of all ages. In addition, Janet is a Hatha Yoga and Nia Technique Dance Instructor, and a student of Kung fu.
You can book her for a private consultation, and find her workshops, classes (online and in-person), as well as retreats she is offering on her website.
