A toolbox of movement activities for the classroom that assist students to develop body awareness and control, calm their nervous systems, sooth themselves when emotionally overwhelmed and be present and ready to learn. Session I focuses on alignment and balance for active, stress-free learning. Activities are drawn from Brain Gym®, Movement Exploration, Body Mind Centering, Taiji Qigong, and over 25 years of experience teaching in preschools and as an artist in residence. The activities have been adapted for use in classrooms with limited space.
