DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour workshop id divided into 2 week-day morning sessions.  \nBrain Gym® for Little Ones This workshop\, created by Lisa Marcovici and Michele Hebert\, is designed for early childhood educators. It is also a great resource for anyone who works with our little ones  (ex. daycare\, preschool or kindergarten\,  settings).  During this 8-hour course you will discover the 26 Brain Gym® movements and their application in a daycare/classroom setting to enable children to return to a calm state and develop basic motor skills.  The benefits of Brain Gym are presented in a simple and fun manner and are easily integrated into the daily routine.  Through play and using games\, self-awareness\, stress management techniques\, as well exploring the skills of noticing\, concentrating\, organizing and communicating are taught.

Session I focuses on alignment and balance for active\, stress-free learning. Activities are drawn from Brain Gym®\, Movement Exploration\, Body Mind Centering\, Taiji Qigong\, and over 25 years of experience teaching in preschools and as an artist in residence. The activities have been adapted for use in classrooms with limited space.
