The reflexes covered in this course are: Moro (including an Adrenal balance), Spinal Galant, Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR), Fear Paralysis, Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR), Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR), Palmar & Babinski This course was created by Tracy Tinker, a Brain Gym® and Touch for Health instructor from Australia. In her own words: “I first learned Touch for Health in 1998 and then went on to learn Brain Gym® in the same year. I wanted to learn these modalities as I had a 10-year-old son with Development Delay and found that when I took him to a Kinesiologist, he was calmer and learned much more easily. I wanted to find out why this had happened. It was then that I first learned about the primitive reflexes and how they can impact on your life. It was a very profound moment for me as I had been searching for years to find out why my son behaved the way he did. He has since been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. The retained reflexes that my son struggled with had a profound effect on my family life. Having them integrated made life so much easier. My experience about these reflexes and my knowledge of both Brain Gym and Touch for Health enabled me to come up with my own balancing techniques. Over the years I have found that utilizing both these modalities has enabled the Primitive Reflexes to integrate easily.”
